Alec and Incendio had setup their camp and were staring up at the stars.
“Incendio, was there ever a woman in your life?” Alec asked.
“Of course. Women love me. I’m a magician.”
“Tell me about one of them.”
Incendio closed his eyes. “I came into some gold a few years back,” he began, “So one night I popped into one of the bawdier pubs in town.
“I was being very generous with my money that night and finally convinced this pretty barmaid to give me a private dance in the back room. I’d drunk half my weight in spiced wine by then, and for some reason, while she was flittin’ about in various states of undress, I started pushing my political viewpoints on the girl.
“She didn’t agree with anything I said, and we squabbled heatedly. But she kept on dancing, and the madder she got, the angrier she danced…”
He grinned. “It was the best argument I ever had!”
